On the 8th day I removed the tongue. At this point I tried to remove the skin. I discovered that my skills with the knife were not equal to this task. In traditional recipes the tongue is boiled for several hours and then the skin is easily peeled. I decided to cook for several hours and see if the skin would peel off for me.
